Stony Brook continues to stockpile FBS transfers as it moves toward its first season in CAA Football this year.

Coach Chuck Priore announced on Friday the additions of junior offensive lineman Arthur Doakes from Pittsburgh and senior defensive backs Derrick Morgan from UTEP and Reuben Johnson from Cincinnati to his program.

Doakes, from Lebanon, Pa., played in 12 games at Pittsburgh last season, including starts at right guard in the final four games of the regular season. The 6-foot-6, 340-pounder was suspended for the Panthers' appearance in the BBVA Compass Bowl.

Morgan, from Germantown, Md., played the last two seasons at UTEP after beginning his career at Cabrillo College. He is a 6-1, 215-pound safety.

Johnson, from Lawnside, N.J., appeared in 31 games over three seasons at Cincinnati. As a sophomore in 2010, the 5-10, 196-pound cornerback started 11 of 12 games and recorded 62 tackles with five pass breakups, a sack and an interception. He did not play last season due to an injury.

Stony Brook is moving to the CAA from the Big South Conference. The Seawolves, 10-3 last season, kick off their season on Sept. 7 at Rhode Island.
