Sam Houston State's football coaches probably wouldn't mind if this year's senior talent had some eligibility left next September.

The FCS national runners-up each of the last two seasons will make a visit to LSU on Sept. 6, 2014 for the first meeting between the two programs.

It will be the first contest at the newly expanded Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, La.

Sam Houston State was picked third in The Sports Network FCS Preseason Top 25. The Bearkats, who finished 11-4 last season, return such senior starters as All-American tailback Timothy Flanders, quarterback Brian Bell, all-purpose standout Richard Sincere and cornerback Bookie Snead.
