Rome, Italy – Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi has been banned for three games after picking up a red card in the club's loss to Lazio at the weekend.
The 29-year-old was sent off for punching Lazio's Stefano Mauri, but the Lega Calcio decided to extend the suspension to three games.
Roma will face Torino in Serie A play this weekend, but it will also be without Nicolas Burdiso and Panagiotis Tachtsidis, who will be required to miss the match due to yellow card accumulation.
