Clippers forward Blake Griffin was to set be examined by doctors after injuring his left knee in a scrimmage with Olympic teammates, according to a report.

Yahoo! Sports says Griffin was expected to have an MRI to determine the severity of the injury. A source told the website that Griffin twisted the knee in a Team USA scrimmage on Wednesday.

An email to a USA Basketball spokesman seeking confirmation of the injury wasn't immediately returned Thursday afternoon.

Griffin hurt the knee in a Game 5 loss to Memphis in the first round of the playoffs.

Yahoo! Sports says officials have asked Anthony Davis, the No. 1 draft pick by the Hornets, to report to camp.
