Inter Milan officially unveiled Claudio Ranieri as its new manager on Thursday, just one day after the firing of Gian Piero Gasperini.

Ranieri, 59, signed a two-year deal with Inter, keeping him at the San Siro club until 2013.

"Everyone at Inter Milan has the pleasure to welcome Claudio Ranieri and his staff and wish them well," Inter released in a statement.

Ranieri has an extensive coaching background that includes stints at Fiorentina, Chelsea, Juventus, and Roma.
