Persistent rain forced NASCAR officials to postpone Sunday's Heluva Good Sour Cream Dips at The Glen for at least one day.

The 90-lap race at Watkins Glen International in Upstate New York has been rescheduled for Monday at 10 a.m. (et).

Rain began falling on the track moments before the scheduled start time of 1:15 p.m. Track officials attempted to dry the track when the rain stopped later in the afternoon, but more precipitation interrupted the drying efforts.

Kyle Busch will lead the field to the green flag. A.J. Allmendinger will start second, followed by Marcos Ambrose, Jimmie Johnson and Juan Pablo Montoya, who is the defending race winner.

According to the National Weather Service, the forecast for the Watkins Glen area on Monday calls for a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.
