PSG held to draw against Bordeaux

Mohamed Sissoko scored in the 10th minute, 1 draw on Sunday at the Stade Jacques Chaban-Delmas as game Ligue 1 win streak came to an end against Bordeaux.

PSG remained undefeated in 12 matches since it lost its opener in France, but Bordeaux was the first team to take points off the leaders since Evian earned a 2-2 draw in mid-September.

The Paris club still sits atop the standings by three points over Montpellier, which settled for a 1-1 draw against St Etienne on Sunday.

After Sissoko scored, Yoan Gouffran scored in the 13th for Bordeaux, which is unbeaten in three matches but 17 points off the pace.

Marseille 2, Nice 0

Marseille, France - Jordan Ayew and Loic Remy scored late in the second half, and Marseille won its third straight in Ligue 1, 2-0 over Nice on Sunday at the Stade Velodrome.

Ayew snapped a scoreless tie in the 72nd, and Remy buried a penalty deep in stoppage time to seal Marseille's fourth win of the season. Marseille climbed to eighth in the table with 18 points, as it continues to rebound from a poor start to the season.

Nice lost its second match during a three-game slide, and is just four points off the bottom after its sixth loss of the season.

Sochaux 2, Lyon 1

Montbeliard, France - Ryad Boudebouz converted a penalty kick 2 minutes before halftime and Sochaux handed Lyon its third loss in its last five Ligue 1 games on Sunday, 2-1 at the Stade Auguste Bonal.

Aly Cissokho's own goal handed Sochaux the lead after 10 minutes but Alexandre Lacazette pulled Lyon level in the 14th. But Boudebouz restored Sochaux's lead just before half, and the hosts held on to extend their unbeaten run to three.

Lyon is fourth in the standings after its fourth loss, while Sochaux is middle of the pack with 17 points from 13 games.

Nancy 2, Brest 1

Nancy, France - Daniel George Niculae scored in the 87th minute, less than 2 minutes after Brest tied the match, and Nancy won for the second time in its last three, 2-1 on Sunday at the Stade Marcel Picot in Ligue 1.

Jo-gook Jung opened the scoring on 64 minutes for Nancy, but Benoit Lesoimier tied the match in the 85th for Brest. But Benoit Lesoimier answered, as Nancy moved four points off the bottom of the table.

Brest, which has nine ties and a win this season, lost for just the third time but is just five points out of the basement.

St Etienne 1, Montpellier 1

Saint Etienne, France - Joris Marveaux scored after halftime as Montpellier tied St Etienne, 1-1, on Sunday at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard to extend its Ligue 1 unbeaten streak to five games.

Banel Nicolita scored the opener after 32 minutes for St Etienne, but Marveaux answered in the 57th as second-place Montpellier restored a three-point lead over Lille.

St Etienne is mid-table on 17 points from 13 matches.

Caen 3, Dijon 0

Caen, France - Gregory Leca, Frederic Bulot, and Pierre-Alain Frau scored and Caen defeated Dijon, 3-0, on Sunday at the Stade Michel d'Ornano in Ligue 1 to snap a two-game losing streak and a four-game slide.

Leca opened the scoring in the 36th, and Bulot and Frau followed in the second half. Caen sits on 18 points from 13 matches in the middle of the table, while Dijon lost its fourth straight and is just four points off the bottom.

Auxerre 2, Toulouse 0

Auxerre, France - Yaya Sanogo and Roy Contout scored in the second half at the Stade de l'Abbe-Deschamps as Auxerre snapped a three-game losing streak with a 2-0 win over Toulouse in Ligue 1 on Sunday.

Sanogo broke a scoreless tie after 69 minutes and Contout followed in the 88th to seal the victory. Toulouse had its three-game unbeaten streak snapped.

Lorient 2, Ajaccio 0

Lorient, France - Yann Jouffre and Gilles Sunu scored in the second half and Lorient snapped a three-game winless skid with a 2-0 win over Ajaccio at the Stade du Moustoir on Sunday in Ligue 1.

Jouffre scored in the 63rd and Sunu followed in the 82nd, and Ajaccio slumped to its fourth straight loss.

Rennes 1, Valenciennes 1

Rennes, France - Remi Gomis scored in the 29th minute as Valenciennes posted a 1-1 draw at Stade de la Route de Lorient on Sunday in France's Ligue 1.

Jires Ekoko scored the first goal after 21 minutes for Rennes, which is fifth in the standings with 22 points from 13 games. Valenciennes, which is winless in three games, is just four points off the bottom of the standings.
