The Detroit Pistons released swingman Terrence Williams and guard Jonny Flynn Monday.

Williams was selected by the Nets with the 11th overall choice of the 2009 NBA Draft and Flynn was chosen sixth overall by Minnesota in the same draft.

In 129 NBA games with the Nets, Rockets and Kings, Williams has averaged 7.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists. Flynn, a 2010 NBA All-Rookie Second-Team selection, has averaged 9.2 points and 3.9 assists in 163 games with Minnesota, Houston and Portland.

Both players were signed by Detroit on Oct. 1, but Flynn averaged just 1.7 points and 2.7 assists through three preseason contests, while Williams contributed 2.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists over two games this preseason.
