Philadelphia, PA – The Philadelphia Phillies activated third baseman Placido Polanco from the 15-day disabled list Monday and optioned infielder Hector Luna to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
Polanco was hitting .255 with two home runs and 19 RBI in 82 games this season before lower back inflammation forced him to the DL in late July.
Luna batted .226 with two homers and 10 RBI over 28 games with Philadelphia.
