Chris Perry scored a career-high 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead South Florida over Jackson State 73-64 on Sunday.

Corey Allen Jr. added 17 points for the Bulls (2-0), who were 22 of 42 from the floor for 52.4 percent while making 24 of 32 from the free-throw line, including 9 of 10 by Perry.

Dontaveon Robinson led the Tigers (0-2) with 16 points and Javeres Brent added 11. The Tigers shot just 39.3 percent, making 24 of 61 shots, though they did hit 7 of 16 3-pointers.

The Bulls led 38-31 at halftime but a 10-2 run to start the second half capped by Brent's 3-pointer with 15:57 left gave the Tigers a brief lead. The Bulls responded with a 12-1 run with Troy Holston Jr.'s 3-pointer giving them a 52-42 advantage with 10:19 left. Jackson State would get within four after that but no closer.
