Panthers give D Strachan one-year extension

Sunrise, FL – The Florida Panthers signed defenseman Tyson year contract extension on Wednesday.

Strachan has one goal and two assists in eight games this season for the Panthers.

The 27-year-old has appeared in 75 career games with St. Louis and Florida, scoring one goal and dishing out eight assists.

Strachan was originally selected by Carolina in the fifth round of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
