Freshman Tyrone Outlaw scored a season-high 17 points, with five 3-pointers, as UNC Greensboro ended a three game losing streak against Georgia Southern, 68-56 on Thursday.

UNCG led by three points with just under 7 minutes left, but back-to-back 3-pointers by Outlaw gave the Spartans their biggest lead of the game at 61-52 with 4:25 remaining.

Georgia Southern managed just four points in the final 4 minutes, and UNCG made 7 of 8 free throws in the last 1:07 to secure the win.

Tevon Saddler added 12 points, eight rebounds and five assists for UNCG (12-14, 5-6 Southern). RJ White and Kyle Cain combined for 23 rebounds, 12 and 11 respectively.

Georgia Southern (11-15, 4-7) was paced by Brian Holmes and Tre Bussey with 12 apiece. Angel Matias added 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Eagles.

The afternoon game was postponed from Wednesday night due to winter weather.
