Baltimore, MD (SportsNetwork.com) - The Baltimore Orioles reinstated closer Tommy Hunter from the 15-day disabled list on Sunday.

Hunter was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a left groin strain retroactive to May 21.

The 27-year-old, who began the season as Baltimore's primary closer, has gone 1-1 with a 6.06 earned run average and 11 saves in 19 games in 2014.

To make room on the roster, Baltimore optioned pitcher Evan Meek to Triple-A Norfolk.

Meek, 31, is 0-2 with a 6.39 ERA across 13 games this season for the Orioles.
