Boston, MA – The Baltimore Orioles have placed left fielder Nolan Reimold on the 15-day disabled list with a herniated disc.
The move, announced before Friday's game against the Red Sox, is retroactive to Tuesday.
Reimold is batting .313 with five homers, 10 RBI and a .333 on-base percentage in 16 games this season.
The Orioles called up catcher Luis Exposito from Triple-A Norfolk to take his spot. Exposito is making his major league debut.
