The United States will take on Manu Ginobili and Argentina with a spot in the gold medal game on the line.

The semifinals of the men's Olympic basketball tournament begin Friday, and in a rematch from Group A play, the United States will face Manu Ginobili and Argentina for a right to play in the gold medal game.

The United States beat Argentina 126-97 earlier in group play, but that result doesn't mean they won't be tested Friday. Argentina gave the United States all they could handle in the first half, with team USA leading 50-49 at halftime. It wasn't until Kevin Durant exploded in the third quarter that team USA pulled away.

If you remove the United States' 42-17 advantage in the third quarter, the two teams played to an 84-80 score over the other three quarters. Like the United States, Argentina cruised through their quarterfinal game, knocking of Lithuania 102-79.

The quarterfinal game is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. ET and will be broadcast live on the NBC Sports Network. The game can also be watched via a live online stream at NBCOlympics.com
