NT Dan Williams' injuries deemed not serious, Winston moves to starting RT
GLENDALE, Ariz. – A knee injury that forced starting Arizona nose tackle Dan Williams off the practice field has been deemed not serious and he says he expects to be sidelined only for a few days.
Cardinals coach Bruce Arians says Williams has a sprained ligament in his right knee. Williams also sprained his right ankle on the play in Thursday's practice, an injury the coach says could wind up being worse than the knee.
Williams joins a list of players to sit out the team's practice on Friday, including running back Ryan Williams (knee) and starting right guard Daryn Colledge (leg nerve irritation).
Meanwhile, newly acquired right tackle Eric Winston has moved into the starting spot, replacing Bobby Massie.
