North Carolina Central and Duke universities have added future dates for the Bull City Gridiron Classic football series, NCCU director of athletics Dr. Ingrid Wicker-McCree announced Thursday.

The Eagles and the Blue Devils meet Saturday night in Wallace Wade Stadium at Duke University. The series will continue there in 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017.

The two schools from Durham are separated by about three miles.

"Without question, our continuing football series with North Carolina Central - the Bull City Gridiron Classic - underscores an exciting relationship for both institutions and the greater Durham community," Duke vice president and director of athletics Kevin White said. "Bringing the two campuses together in this fashion has tremendous value, and we are just thrilled to participate in this meaningful partnership. We look forward to many more years of exciting football with our Durham neighbors."

In the only prior meeting, Duke, a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference, defeated the Eagles, 49-14, on Sept. 26, 2009.

NCCU, from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, has a record of 1-1 this season.
