Greensboro, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - Potential MEAC favorite North Carolina A&T will be without starting quarterback Kwashaun Quick for the 2015 season due to a violation of team rules.

Quick, from Laurinburg, North Carolina, is no longer in school, the News and Record of Greensboro reported Monday. He was arrested in Durham on March 6 and charged with maintaining a vehicle or residence with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver marijuana and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

Quick has a court date scheduled for May 5 in Durham County.

As a junior last season, Quick helped A&T to a 9-3 record and part of a five- way share of the MEAC championship - the Aggies' first in 11 years. He accounted for 2,028 total yards and 19 total touchdowns.

His loss is a significant blow to A&T for what appears to be another competitive title race this year. The MEAC champion will move on to play the SWAC champion in the new Celebration Bowl.

Last year's No. 2 signal caller, Hasaan Klugh, also has left the A&T program, so redshirt freshman Lamar Raynard took most of the snaps at quarterback during the Aggies' annual spring game on Saturday.
