C.J. Wilkerson scored 18 points and North Carolina Central held off Florida A&M 61-59 on Saturday for the Eagles' third straight win.

N.C. Central (10-9), which led 41-26 at halftime, saw its lead dwindle to two points at 57-55 on two Yannick Crowder free throws with 3:09 left. After the Eagles rebuilt a five-point lead, Avery Moore hit a 3-pointer with 34 seconds left for 61-59.

Wilkerson missed a foul shot with 26 seconds to go, then Moore tried another 3-pointer with 5 seconds remaining. He missed and teammate Jeremy Dean rebounded, but Amin Stevens missed a layup with 1 second left.

N.C. Central, which has won five of its last six, shot 30 percent in the second half (6 of 20).

Nick Chasten added 16 points and Landon Clement 15 for the Eagles.

Stevens scored 16 for Florida A&M (7-13), which had been trying to win three straight for the first time this season.
