Harrison, NJ – Red Bull New York acquired midfielder Stephane round pick in the 2013 Major League Soccer SuperDraft.
Auvray, 29, was in the midst of his second season in MLS with K.C. This year, he has made six appearances and three starts, missing a significant amount of time captaining the Guadeloupe national team during the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Last year, Auvray started in 21 games after missing the first two months due to injury, notching one assist featuring primarily as a defensive midfielder.
"Stephane is an experienced player who has competed at various levels in professional soccer and we are excited to bring him into the roster," said Red Bulls General Manager and Sporting Director Erik Soler. "He will provide immediate depth to our midfield as we make our push to the MLS Cup Playoffs."
Auvray will be available for selection for the Red Bulls' match Saturday at Red Bull Arena against the Chicago Fire.
