Flushing, NY – The New York Mets said first baseman Ike Davis was out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Yankees possibly because of food poisoning.
Davis hit a three-run homer during the Mets' five-run first inning on Friday night, sparking them to a 6-4 win in the series opener.
He is batting .191 with eight homers, 36 RBI and an on-base percentage of .276 in 68 games this season.
