Minnesota Vikings left tackle Matt Kalil appears to be on the upswing. After having a pair of minor knee surgeries in the offseason, the former fourth-overall draft pick is putting together a stellar preseason.

So far, Kalil has been "perfect" in pass protection, according to Sam Monson of Pro Football Focus.

Kalil, 26, struggled through the 2014 season but still started all 16 games. Until just recently, he has looked like a shell of the Pro Bowl left tackle he was as a rookie.

If Kalil can rebound and return to Pro Bowl form in 2015, Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater should take comfort in the fact that his pocket is unlikely to collapse on his blind side.
