Magic forward Gordon out indefinitely with fractured foot

Orlando, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Orlando Magic rookie forward Aaron Gordon fractured a bone in his left foot on Saturday and is out indefinitely.

An X-ray following Saturday's 98-83 loss to Washington revealed a fracture in the fifth metatarsal.

"It's not fatal; You know how that saying goes," Gordon tweeted. "Need detail from a specialist, the reality is that it's a stress fracture. That I can't control. But I can control my level of inner peace."

Gordon, the second youngest player in the NBA this season behind fellow rookie Dante Exum, was selected fourth overall last June by the Magic. He has been a valuable player off the bench early in his career for his energy and defensive versatility.

Through 11 games, Gordon is averaging 5.8 points and 3.0 rebounds in 15 minutes per game. He scored a career-high 17 points in an overtime win over Minnesota on Nov. 7.
