Evansville, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - Luke List carded his second straight 4- under 68 on Friday and moved two strokes clear of the field at the United Leasing Championship.

List, the 2012 South Georgia Classic winner, finished 36 holes at 8-under-par 136. He tied for sixth in his last start in Mexico.

"For me, it's knowing that I don't have to give it 100 percent off the tee and I don't have to force myself to make eagle. It's just trying to get myself in position to make birdie," said List of the par-5s, where he has five birdies and an eagle through two rounds.

First-round leader Tag Ridings managed a 1-under 71 at Victoria National Golf Club and dipped into a share of second at minus-6. He was joined there by Cody Gribble (68).

Julian Etulain (68) and Ryan Spears (67) are tied for fourth place at 5-under- par 139. Michael Hebert is one stroke back at minus-4 after an even-par 72 in round two.

List started on the back nine Friday and dropped in his first birdie chance at the 12th. After a par on 13, he flew up the leaderboard.

The 30-year-old poured in three consecutive birdies from the 14th to jump into the lead at minus-8. However, he bogeyed No. 17 and faltered to a double-bogey at the 18th to slide back to 5-under.

List wrapped birdies at three and five around a bogey at the fourth. He converted a birdie effort at the par-3 seventh to grab the lead at minus-7. List closed his round with a birdie at the par-5 ninth to finish two clear of the field.

"It's nice (leading), but it really doesn't mean a whole lot. I've got enough to worry about with this golf course, much less anybody behind me," List said. "If you miss a shot out here, you're penalized for it. The rough is thick and if you miss it off the tee you've got hazards to deal with or you're replaying from the tee again."

Ridings birdied the second and fifth, but tripped to a bogey on No. 9. He started the back nine with five pars in a row. Ridings stumbled to bogeys at 15 and 17 before closing with a birdie at the last.

Gribble tripped to a double-bogey at the first, but came right back with birdies at two and three. He traded a birdie for a bogey from the fifth and again from the seventh.

Around the turn, Gribble birdied the 10th and 11th to move to minus-4. After dropping a shot on the 13th, Gribble dropped in birdie efforts at 14 and 15. He joined Ridings at 6-under thanks to a birdie at the 18th.
