Germany's Sabine Lisicki and Romania's Camelia Begu, the lone remaining seeded players, advanced to the semifinals at the inaugural $220,000 Texas Tennis Open, a final U.S. Open tuneup.

The fifth-seeded Lisicki blasted Ukrainian Kateryna Bondarenko, 6-1, 6-2; while No. 8 seeded Begu ousted Latvia's Anastasija Sevastova, 6-3, 6-4 on the hardcourts at Hilton DFW Lakes Hotel. They will battle in the semifinals on Friday.

Lisicki has two career singles titles, including one this year at the AEGON Classic in Birmingham, England.

In the two other quarterfinals, Germany's Angelique Kerber defeated Sweden's Johanna Larsson, 6-0, 6-1; and France's Aravane Rezai downed Great Britain's Elena Baltacha, 6-2, 6-2.

This week's winner will collect $37,000.
