Allen Park, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - The Detroit Lions will exercise the fifth-year option on offensive tackle Riley Reiff's rookie contract before the May 3 deadline, general manager Martin Mayhew announced Friday.

The fifth-year option is worth $8.07 million.

Reiff, the 23rd overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, started 31 games over the past two seasons. The Iowa product has missed only one game in his first three years.
