Linebacker Alexander out with minor ankle injury

Oklahoma opened up football practice -- albeit for about 20 minutes -- and there was some news to report Monday.

Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops walked over to a group of reporters and said linebacker Dominique Alexander will be out "awhile" with a minor ankle injury.

Alexander led the team in tackles last season with 107. He was a second team All-Big 12 selection last season.
