Miami, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Miami Heat forward LeBron James missed Sunday's game against the Chicago Bulls with a broken nose that he suffered in Thursday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The four-time MVP scorched the Thunder for 33 points to go along with seven rebounds in a 103-81 win, leaving late in the contest after being hit in the nose by Oklahoma City's Serge Ibaka on a driving dunk through the lane.
James was questionable leading up to Sunday's tilt.
"The fact that we don't play (again) until Thursday, it makes the most sense," said Heat coach Erik Spoelstra about the decision to sit James.
Miami didn't have much problem without James on Sunday, defeating the Bulls by a 93-79 margin to extend its winning streak to five games
James owns team-highs with 26.9 points, 7.1 rebounds and 6.5 assists in 52 games this season.
