Turin, Italy (SportsNetwork.com) - Serie A leaders Juventus will aim to keep their lengthy unbeaten run in league play alive when the club welcomes Inter Milan to Juventus Stadium for the Derby d'Italia.
Juve are currently riding an impressive 13-match unbeaten run and haven't lost in league play since a 4-2 setback against Fiorentina on Oct 20. But the two- time defending champions will look to get back on the winning track after being held to a 1-1 draw against Lazio last time out.
Juve fell behind early against Lazio as Antonio Candreva converted a penalty kick 27 minutes into proceedings after goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon was sent off for a rash tackle.
Despite playing down a man, Juve managed to find an equalizer through Fernando Llorente on the hour mark to rescue a point.
Juventus also strengthen its squad on Friday's transfer deadline day as the club confirmed it had landed forward Pablo Osvaldo on loan from Premier League club Southampton.
Osvaldo joined Southampton over the summer for a club record fee of $25 million, but he has fallen out of favor after scoring three goals in 13 league appearances.
Inter, meanwhile, haven't quite had the season they would have wanted when the campaign began as the club sits in fifth place in Serie A with 33 points, 11 behind Napoli for a Champions League place.
Inter is currently mired in a four-match winless run in league play, having been held to a scoreless draw with Catania at the San Siro last time out. Their last win in league play came back on Dec. 22, a 1-0 result over local rivals AC Milan.
Hoping to break the winless run and make a push for the Champions League, Inter also bolstered its side with the signing of Brazilian playmaker Hernanes from Lazio.
The sides played out a 1-1 draw in the first Derby D'Italia of the season back on Sept. 14. Mauro Icardi break a scoreless deadlock for Inter in the 73rd minute, but Juve responded two minutes later with a goal from Arturo Vidal to manage a point.
