Clint Session's brief and injury-riddled tenure with the Jacksonville Jaguars officially came to an end on Tuesday, with the team placing the linebacker on waivers.

Session signed a five-year, $30 million contract with the Jaguars during the summer of 2011 following four seasons with fellow AFC South member Indianapolis, where he started a total of 35 times. The 28-year-old hasn't played in a game since sustaining a concussion in November of last season, however, and has spent all of 2012 on the physically unable to perform list.

The University of Pittsburgh product appeared in just nine contests with Jacksonville and recorded 30 tackles and one sack.

The Jaguars also waived tight end Maurice Stovall, who saw action in 10 games with the team as primarily a special-teamer this season, while signing fullback Will Ta'ufo'ou to the active roster.
