Jacksonville, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Jacksonville Jaguars released veteran defensive end Jeremy Mincey on Friday.
Mincey had 16 tackles and two sacks in eight games this season. He sat out two games for violating team rules.
The Florida product joined the Jaguars in 2006 as a free agent and played in 64 games with 41 starts, recording 160 tackles, 20 sacks, 11 passes defensed and one interception.
Mincey signed a four-year, $20 million contract before the 2012 season.
