Inter Milan fell behind to Fiorentina at the San Siro on Thursday but stormed back to take a 2-1 victory to climb to second place in the Italian top flight.

The visitors went in front at the hour mark when Inter's Juan Jesus was whistled for tripping Joaquin in the penalty area, which allowed Giuseppe Rossi to convert the ensuing attempt from the spot.

But Fiorentina's lead lasted just 12 minutes as a corner kick delivery from Inter led to a scramble in the box. Esteban Cambiasso pounced on the loose ball inside the six-yard box and finish it off with an acrobatic finish.

Inter went on to get the winner in the 83rd minute when Jonathan collected a cross from Ricardo Alvarez and ripped a quick shot into the upper corner.

The win sees Inter remain unbeaten through five Serie A matches this term, helping the club improve to 13 points.

It was Fiorentina's first loss of the campaign, leaving the club on 10 points.
