The Cleveland Indians have activated third baseman Jack Hannahan from the 15-day disabled list.

Hannahan, who was on the DL with a strained left calf, enters Friday's action hitting .276 with three homers and 18 RBI in 31 games this season.

To make room for Hannahan, the Indians optioned pitcher Scott Barnes to Triple-A Columbus. He had a 10.38 earned run average in four games for the Indians.

Cleveland also signed outfielder Tyler Naquin and pitcher Mitch Brown. Naquin was the 15th overall pick in the 2012 First-Year Player Draft, while Brown was picked in the second round.
