(SportsNetwork.com) - The Colts rightfully believe they are on the verge of Super Bowl glory and their window projects to last longer than just about any other NFL team as long as Andrew Luck is under center.
That said there are still some issues that need to be dealt with. Protecting Luck is paramount and Indianapolis could use additional help on the offensive line ,while the team's biggest need from a talent perspective is at safety where limited veterans Mike Adams and Dwight Lowery are currently penciled in.
Two safeties should be in play with the 29th overall pick, Alabama's Landon Collins and Arizona State's Damarious Randall. Collins was perceived to go much higher earlier in the process but it seems like teams are concerned with his lack of coverage skills and there's is a chance he drops. Meanwhile, Randall is small for the position but like Collins has an in-the-box, extra linebacker mind-set and his effort level, athleticism and pure toughness has caught the eye of NFL scouts.
If neither safety catches Ryan Grigson's eye, offensive tackle could be the fallback with players like Ereck Flowers of Miami-Florida, D.J. Humphries of Florida or T.J. Clemmings of Pitt on the radar.
