Hoffenheim acquired former German youth international defender Patrick Ochs on loan from Wolfsburg on Friday.

Ochs, 28, played for Eintracht from 2004-11 and switched to Wolfsburg in 2011. He departs Wolves on a one-year loan deal to join Bundesliga rival Hoffenheim.

Hoffenheim made three other moves before the transfer deadline, parting ways with 25-year-old Dutch winger Ryan Babel, selling defender Isaac Vorsah to Red Bull Salzburg, and loaning U.S. Under-23 midfielder Joseph-Claude Gyau to St. Pauli.
