CORVALLIS, Ore. – Ruth Hamblin had 16 points, eight rebounds and seven blocked shots as Oregon State rolled over No. 20 Arizona State 66-43 on Sunday.
Oregon State (21-9, 13-5 Pac 12) shot 52 percent and made all seven of its throws. Syndey Wiese added 15, Ali Gibson had 13 and Deven Hunter 11 points (4 of 4 field goals, 3 of 3 free throws).
Arizona State (22-8, 11-7) led 17-14 after Deja Mann's jumper with 7:47 left in the first half. Mann led ASU with 13 points. OSU responded, scoring the next nine points en route to a 31-23 lead at intermission.
The teams combined for seven points through the first 7:24 of the second half. Oregon State warmed up — Arizona State did not. A 10-0 run by the Beavers extended their lead to 48-30 with 7:21 left and the Sun Devils never recovered. ASU shot 26 percent in the game.
