San Francisco, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Paul Goldschmidt stroked a two-run homer to help power the Arizona Diamondbacks to a 5-1 victory over the San Francisco Giants in the finale of a four-game set on Sunday.

Chris Owings finished with three hits and two RBI, A.J. Pollock supplied three hits and two runs scored and Jordan Pacheco also drove in a run for the Diamondbacks, who won three of the four games against the Giants.

Jeremy Hellickson (1-2) earned the win after surrendering just one run on eight hits and a walk in 6 2/3 innings.

"We're going to be really good soon," said Hellickson. "We're starting to show signs of that."

Angel Pagan brought in a run and Tim Hudson (0-2) gave up five runs on six hits and two walks over five frames for the Giants, who have lost nine of their last 10 games.

"If you look at the game, we did hit some balls hard," San Francisco manager Bruce Bochy said. "It's not a lack of effort."

The Diamondbacks opened the scoring in the second after Goldschmidt followed Pollock's one-out single with a homer to left for a 2-0 lead.

In the home half, Nori Aoki stroked a leadoff double to right, moved to third on Joe Panik's single and hustled home on Pagan's sacrifice fly to cut the deficit in half.

Arizona added three more runs in the third. Pollock hit a single and Goldschmidt and Aaron Hill each worked walks around a Mark Trumbo flyout to load the bases with two outs. A run was ushered in after Pacheco was hit by a pitch and Owings followed with a two-run single.

Aoki tripled with two outs in the fifth, but Hellickson left him stranded by getting Panik to line out to second.

Owings doubled to begin the ninth but was retired at third after Nick Ahmed grounded into a fielder's choice. Yasmany Tomas singled for his first career hit to place runners on the corners with one out. Ahmed got caught in a rundown between third and home and Pollock grounded out to end the frame.
