Genoa, Italy (SportsNetwork.com) - Parma's disappointing season continued on Wednesday as the club suffered a 2-0 defeat to Genoa at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
Already at the foot of the Serie A table, Parma fell behind after only 14 minutes of Wednesday's clash as Iago Falque put the hosts in front.
Genoa marched on to collect all three points with ease as Leonardo Pavoletti netted an insurance goal 14 minutes from time.
The result sees Genoa move to seventh place with 44 points on the season while keeping Parma firmly rooted to last place on 16 points, 14 points away from safety.
