New York, NY – Los Angeles Galaxy striker Robbie Keane was named Major League Soccer's Player of the Week for Week 25 of the 2013 season on Monday.
Just one week after teammate Landon Donovan bagged a hat trick in a 3-3 draw with FC Dallas, Keane did the same thing on Saturday against Real Salt Lake as the Irish international lead the Galaxy to a crucial 4-2 victory.
All three of Keane's goals came in the second half as he pulled his team level in the 56th minute before scoring in the 67th and 86th minutes.
The MLS Player of the Week award is selected each week by the North American Soccer Reporters. The group consists of members of online, print, television, and radio media.
