Elliott backstops Blues over Flames

St. Louis, MO – Brian Elliott made 24 saves to earn his third 0 win over the Calgary Flames at Scottrade Center.

David Backes had a goal and an assist and Alex Pietrangelo netted the other goal. Alex Steen and Kevin Shattenkirk chipped in with assists for the Blues, who have won two straight and five of their last seven contests.

Elliott upped his save percentage to .951 and lowered his goals-against average to 1.34, both leading the NHL.

Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 22-of-24 shots for the Flames, losers of three consecutive games.
