East Rutherford, NJ (SportsNetwork.com) - Defensive end Dave Tollefson, who won two Super Bowls with the New York Giants, announced his retirement from the NFL on Friday.

Tollefson was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the seventh round of the 2006 draft. He did not appear in a regular-season game with the Packers.

Tollefson joined the Giants in 2007 and left after the 2011 season. He played on both the Super Bowl XLII and XLVI championship teams.

After spending the 2012 season with the Oakland Raiders, Tollefson was out of football in 2013.

The Northwest Missouri State product finished his career with 89 tackles and 10 1/2 sacks in 78 games.
