Kansas City, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - Kansas City Chiefs running back Joe McKnight ruptured his Achilles during Thursday's practice, the team announced Friday.
With Jamaal Charles out last Sunday, McKnight caught six passes for 64 yards and two touchdowns against the Dolphins.
The Chiefs are left with Knile Davis, Cyrus Gray and De'Anthony Thomas in reserve behind Charles.
In a season-opening loss to Tennessee, the Chiefs lost Pro Bowl linebacker Derrick Johnson and defensive end Mike DeVito to the same injury.
