Cleveland, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - The Cleveland Cavaliers announced on Friday that guard Kyrie Irving will not play against Indiana due to a left shoulder injury.

Irving injured the shoulder during Thursday's 110-99 win over the Golden State Warriors. He did not accompany the team to Indianapolis, instead remaining behind where he was eventually diagnosed with a left shoulder strain after examination at Cleveland Clinic Sports Health.

A further update on Irving's condition won't occur until prior to the Cavs' game in Houston on Sunday afternoon.

The Cavaliers will also be without LeBron James (rest) on Friday.
