Columbus, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Alex Khokhlachev produced the lone goal of the shootout in the seventh round, and Boston came away with a 4-3 victory over Columbus at Nationwide Arena.
Dennis Seidenberg, Matt Fraser and Daniel Paille all scored in the third period for the Bruins, who have won three in a row and eight of their last 10.
"That was a good comeback win knowing we're down two goals going into the third," Bruins coach Claude Julien said.
Niklas Svedberg stopped 25 shots in regulation and wasn't beaten in seven chances during the game's final segment.
Ryan Johansen totaled a goal and two assists for the Blue Jackets, who have lost two straight and 11 of their last 13. Nick Foligno and Jack Johnson also lit the lamp but Sergei Bobrovsky's 38-save performance was wasted.
"To take a 2-0 lead into the third period and come away with one point, it feels like a loss," Blue Jackets coach Todd Richards said.
Three players forced their respective shots wide and two hit the goalpost as the shootout moved through its first six rounds.
In the opener of the seventh round, Columbus' Matt Calvert was turned away by Svedberg, leaving Khokhlachev to win the contest by deking Bobrovsky enough where a low shot slid through his pads and into the net.
Johanson opened the scoring seconds prior to the midway point of the first, when he slid a shot between Svedberg's pads on the rush from the left wing.
Foligno doubled the advantage just over 90 seconds later, when he was credited with a goal resulting from a centering feed by Jordan Leopold caroming off his backside.
Bobrovsky preserved the lead when he stoned Gregory Campbell in close after the Bruins swooped in during a 4-on-1 break. The Jackets netminder stopped 12 more shots in a scoreless second period, while Svedberg was good on seven chances.
Seidenberg halved his clubs' deficit 88 seconds into the third, when his harmless drive from beyond the blue line squeezed through Bobrovsky's five- hole and over the goal line.
Boston tied it on a Fraser redirection of a Matt Bartkowski drive from the right point at 9:33, then Paille put the Bruins ahead at 11:32 when his turnaround shot from the inner edge of the right circle settled under the crossbar.
Columbus tied things again as Johansen fed Johnson in the right circle for a successful wrister with 7:13 to play.
Bobrovsky denied Seidenberg twice in a span of several seconds in the final 42 seconds of OT, then Svedberg turned back Boone Jenner from the left wing on the following shift.

Boston upped its record to 2-0 in shootouts this year, while Columbus fell to 0-1 ... The primary assist on Foligno's marker was Leopold's first point with Columbus since being acquired from St. Louis.
