The Denver Broncos agreed to terms on a contract with center Ryan Lilja on Wednesday.

Lilja joins Steve Vallos as the second new center the Broncos have added since starting center Dan Koppen sustained a season-ending ACL injury during Sunday's practice.

The 10th-year pro started 12 games at center for the Kansas City Chiefs last season before announcing his retirement.

Lilja began his career with the Indianapolis Colts, where he started 59 of 66 games at left guard in front of current Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning.

The 31-year-old veteran has never allowed more than three sacks in a season and has started 104 of 111 career games between the Colts and the Chiefs.
