Lisbon, Portugal (SportsNetwork.com) - Braga announced on Monday that the club has parted ways with manager Jesualdo Ferreira after an inconsistent campaign this season.

Ferreira had a spell at Braga from 2003-2006, but his second stint was not as successful as he rejoined the club prior to this season and has failed to make it through the year.

Braga has won just eight of its 20 games in league play and sits in seventh place in the Portuguese Liga after a 2-2 draw over the weekend against bottom- half side Arouca.

The 67-year-old won three straight league titles at FC Porto from 2007-2009, but he failed to guide Braga into the Europa League after losing to Romanian side Pandurii in the qualifying round.
