Bobby Brown scored 22 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lift Alabama State to a 90-87 win over Prairie View A&M in overtime on Monday night.

Tied at 77 at the end of regulation, Alabama State (16-11, 10-6 Southwestern Athletic Conference) outscored the Panthers 13-10 in OT to clinch the win.

Maurice Strong, DeMarcus Robinson and Billy Ingram contributed 11 points apiece for the Hornets, who shot 51 percent from the field to snap a two-game skid and cling to a second-place conference tie with Texas Southern. Jamel Waters and Tony Armstrong added 10 points each in the win.

Prairie View A&M (8-20, 6-10) led 35-34 at the break but sank fewer shots from the penalty stripe and from 3-point range in the game.

Montrael Scott led the Panthers with 25 points, John Brisco added 24 and Demondre Chapman 22.
