Michel Bastos scored his third goal in as many appearances on Saturday to help Lyon to a 3-2 win over Valenciennes at the Stade de Gerland.

The visitors took the lead after 12 minutes through Gil, but Bastos, who scored as a substitute in his first two games this season, equalized when goalkeeper Nicolas Penneteau allowed a pass to slip through his hands, which left Bastos to pounce on the loose ball.

Lyon jumped in front only three minutes later when Alexandre Lacazette was fouled by David Ducourtioux inside the area, giving Bafetimbi Gomis an opportunity to put the hosts in front from the spot, which he did with little trouble.

Grenier Clement scored on a brilliant 30-yard strike midway through the second half to put Lyon up 3-1, while Valenciennes was only able to pull one goal back 15 minutes from time when Gregory Pujol redirected a free kick past goalkeeper Remi Vercoutre.

Evian tried to fight back early in the second half, but the team was unable to find a way past goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa and has now lost three of its first four games.

The loss could have been even worse for Nancy, but Traore failed to convert a penalty kick in the first half.

Sochaux came back with a goal five minutes later courtesy of Slovan Privat, but Remy Cabella sealed the win 12 minutes from time when he scored from a tight angle to leave Sochaux as the only team in Ligue 1 without a point.

Toulouse 1, Reims 1

Toulouse, France - Toulouse salvaged a point at home against Reims on Saturday as Ben Yedder scored a late goal to help the hosts to a 1-1 draw.
