Motherwell, Scotland (SportsNetwork.com) - Russell Anderson rescued a point for Aberdeen at Fir Park on Saturday, scoring at the death to grant his side a 2-2 draw with Motherwell.

Stephen McManus wasted little time in giving Motherwell the lead after a scoreless opening period, striking two minutes after the halftime interval to put the home side in front.

Adam Rooney marked his debut with an equalizer in the 67th minute, but Motherwell responded just two minutes later through Zaine Francis-Angol.

It looked as if Francis-Angol's strike would hold up as the winner, but Anderson notched a tying goal deep into second-half stoppage time to see the two sides remain separated by just one point in the Scottish Premier League table.

Inverness failed to make up any ground on Motherwell and Aberdeen as it suffered a 2-0 loss at Kilmarnock. Lee Ashcroft got Killie off the mark in the 16th minute and a second-half strike from Kris Boyd sealed the victory, putting the club on 25 points.

Also on Saturday, Scott Robinson scored 10 minutes from time to give Hearts a 2-1 win at Ross County while St. Mirren was held to a 0-0 home draw by Partick Thistle.
