Anaheim, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Frederik Andersen turned aside all 30 shots he faced for his first career playoff shutout, lifting the Anaheim Ducks to a 3-0 victory in Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals on Sunday.
Matt Beleskey, Hampus Lindholm and Nate Thompson all scored and Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry each supplied two assists for the Ducks, who lead the series 2-0 after routing Calgary 6-1 in Thursday's series opener.
"They wanted to get the split and head home with confidence," Anaheim forward Ryan Kesler said. "We squashed it."
Anaheim is the first team to start the postseason with six straight wins since the Pittsburgh Penguins, who won seven consecutive games in 2008.
Karri Ramo was strong in his first career postseason start 31 shots, stopping for the Flames, who have lost 21 straight games at Honda Center dating back to April 27, 2006.
Game 3 of this best-of-seven series resumes Tuesday at Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary.
Anaheim generated quality scoring chances early in the game. Ramo had to make an impressive diving glove save on Getzlaf's slapper three minutes into the game and Kesler ripped a shot off the goal post moments later.
Beleskey got the Ducks on the board by receiving Kesler's cross-ice saucer pass and finished off the 2-on-1 with a wrister over a sprawled Ramo for the game's first goal 7:27 into the game.
After getting outshot 20-9 in the first period, Calgary generated 12 shots on net in the middle stanza, but was unable to solve Andersen.
"If it was not for Karri in the first period, this game would have been over," Calgary head coach Bob Hartley said. "We can certainly draw confidence from the last 30 minutes."
Lindholm provided an insurance marker with 8:45 left in regulation. Perry led an offensive rush and dropped the puck back to Lindholm, who jumped up on the rush and coasted to the right circle, where he sent a wrister over the glove of Ramo for his first career playoff goal and a 2-0 lead.
The Flames pulled Ramo with over three minutes to play, but Thompson fired the puck into the empty cage to seal the win.

The Ducks also won six straight playoff games from April 10-26, 2003 and May 1-11, 2006 ... Perry tied Teemu Selanne for second place on the all-time franchise scoring list with 69 points ... Flames forward Michael Ferland was out of the lineup with an upper-body injury.
